Welcome to Daylight Savings Time - The Movie
(aka Daylight Saving Time - The Movie)*
*please note, there has been much discussion as to whether the proper pronunciation should be "savings time" or "saving time" - according to Wikipedia.com the proper phrasing is "Daylight Saving Time" - discuss amongst yourselves

After some massive editing sessions, I've turned the film from a 125 minute mini-epic to something a little more manageable (and understandable) 100 minute film.
Next stop? Festivals! (Hopefully.)
I'm starting to kick the next idea around. For more information, or to contact me for any reason - please e-mail me at:

Daylight saving time (DST) is the convention of advancing clocks so that afternoons have more daylight and mornings have less. Typically clocks are adjusted forward one hour near the start of spring and are adjusted backward in autumn.
This story is a simple one: A group of people of various types and stripes take a time management course. During the session the instructor encourages the participants to use the extra hour from daylight saving time to change their life.
The story then follows a handful of people as they try and use that hour to make a difference in their world. Some for the better, some for the worse.
"Daylight Saving Time" was a screenplay I wrote about 4 years ago. I was looking for something interesting in regards to how people manage time and was always fascinated by the fact that we get an extra hour every year and no one does anything with it but get an extra hour sleep. What would happen if people actually attempted to step out of their shell, or do something they've always wanted to do? Would that hour change their life? Would it be the start of something good? Something bad?
Thank you for visiting this site.
